Grant Lessard, Director

Grant Lessard is a graduate of Western College of Remedial Massage Therapies in Canada with over 3000 hours of clinical massage training. He has practiced since 1989 in a variety of environments including holistic health care centers, medical facilities, combined and private practices. His professional studies include Craniosacral, Myofascial Release, Lymphatic Drainage, Muscle Energy Technique, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, Exercise Rehabilitation, as well as a wide variety of other spa modalities. Grant has a keen interest in creating holistic spa environments that focus on individual and collaborative learning and development. As Director of Spa/Salon and Retail at the Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas, Assistant Spa Director at the Ritz-Carlton Resorts of Naples and most Recently as Director of Spa Fitness and Retail at Dorado Beach a Ritz-Carlton Reserve - Spa Botanico in Puerto Rico, Grant inspires an environment of teamwork, innovation, and empowerment.
 
Grant has been an educator as well as the Director of some of the top facilities including The Wellington Institute of Remedial Massage Therapy, The Minneapolis School of massage and Bodywork and Cortiva Institute of Massage in Scottsdale Az. and as a guest instructor at Frederique Academy / Elemis Spa in Hong Kong. Grant's leadership style is supportive, cooperative, interactive and dynamic. Erik Sears, Assistant Spa Director

Erik is a graduate of the American Institute of Massage Therapy in Indiana, where started his massage career at Vanis Salon and Day Spa.  In 2003 Erik moved cross country to Arizona where he became a massage therapist for the Willow Stream Spa at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess.  As a therapist for the Willow Stream spa, Erik was a treatment trainer for all the new providers.  Later in his career his interest turned to management.  In 2012, Erik was promoted to Treatment Manager.  As Treatment Manager he took on a very important role when the Willow Stream Spa transitioned into the Well & Being Spa.  Erik was put in charge of creating the new spa services, and training the staff.  In 2016 Erik was promoted to Assistant Spa Director where he oversees the Well & Being operations.

Well & Being's team of world-class spa and wellness experts are led by Dr. Tieraona Low Dog - whose extensive career in the study of natural medicine, and its role in modern health care, began more than 35 years ago. Dr. Low Dog studied midwifery and massage therapy, as well as herbalism. She served as President of the American Herbalist Guild and ran a teaching clinic in Albuquerque, New Mexico before going on to receive her doctorate degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Tieraona opened and ran a successful integrative medical clinic in Albuquerque before joining the faculty of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona where she served as the Director of Fellowship from 2005-2015. Tieraona has recently authored three National Geographic books, Healthy at Home and Life is Your Best Medicine and co-authored the Guide to Medicinal Herbs. She serves on numerous editorial/advisory boards, and has appeared on E!, ABC's 20/20, CNN, and is a frequent guest on the Dr. Oz show and NPR's The People's Pharmacy.

Danielle is has been a trainer for the spa for 3 years, and is instrumental in developing new spa services, and has been published highlighting her professional career as a massage therapist.  She was recently recognized as Fairmont Scottsdale Princess' Employee of the Year.
